At Feinberg Consulting, it’s important to us that you have the opportunity to learn more about the faces behind our company. This July, we’d like you to meet our employee spotlight: Clinical Manager and Family Coach, Michael Cardinale.

What inspired you to start in this career field and what do you enjoy most about it?
I come from a family of teachers, educators, and school administrators so from a young age services and helping others were displayed to me through my family members. I am lucky enough to have multiple people have a significant impact on my life in many ways. I have always enjoyed learning about where other people come from, what has influenced their lives, and how I can collaborate with them to find fulfillment. Being a social worker has allowed me to do this every day with others. The aspect I enjoy most about my job is being able to have an impact on an individual, a family, or a larger part of society.
How long have you been with Feinberg Consulting and what do you love most about working here?
I have been working for Feinberg for four months and I love the teamwork I experience with all my colleagues. I have the privilege of continuing to learn and develop with other professionals, all working towards providing the best level of care.
What are some important lessons that you have learned over the years?
This is difficult to answer because I am constantly taught important lessons in my life by family, friends, mentors, colleagues, and clients. One of my mentors helped teach me not to take things personally, always do my best, to always be curious, and to respect the speed at which people move in this work.
What helped you adapt to change during the COVID-19 pandemic this past year?
I think what helped me the most to adapt to the barriers the pandemic present has been using technology and being able to work virtually.
What are 5 words that best describe yourself?
Compassionate, funny, open, hardworking, and shy.
Do you have any pets? If so, how many/what are their names?
I do not currently have any pets. I grew up with dogs and am looking forward to having that be a part of my life again. For the time being, I am doing my best to keep a waterlily alive (going on a little over a year at this point).
Tell us about your favorite hobby.

My favorite hobby is fishing. Living in Florida has allowed me to enjoy the best of fresh and saltwater fishing.
What is your favorite sport/sports team?
My favorite sports team is Manchester United F.C. I love watching the premier league on the weekends.
What do you do for self-care that you recommend to others?
My self-care routine includes working out in the gym, running, playing soccer, fishing, reading, and spending time with friends/family.
What is your favorite book or one that has had a significant influence on your life?
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobosky is one of my favorite books and had a significant impact. I had procrastinated doing summer reading for a majority of the summer in high school, happened to pick this book originally to get the assignment done and ended up finding an amazing story.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
I have friends that live in Colorado and love going out there to hike.
What genre of music, or which artist(s), do you prefer?
This all depends on my mood or activity when I am listening to music. Safe to say most artists from 2005-2012 would be played.
What inspires you to remain in this field of work?
The attention being given to and the direction that the field is moving in is inspiring to me to continue to remain in this field of work.
What are you most looking forward to in the future?
I look forward to continuing to learn, develop my skills and understanding, and find the most effective ways to help people.
