Feinberg case manager meeting with a referral partner to discuss a complex injury case

Catastrophic Case Management for Attorneys and Referral Partners

A case management partner for complex injury cases, built on proactive communication, clinical insight, and consistent follow-through.

 Catastrophic Injury Management

When the Case Is Complex, Communication Matters

Catastrophic injury cases involve many moving parts: multiple physicians and therapists, changing care needs, equipment, home modifications, and families under significant strain.

When care is fragmented or poorly documented, recovery stalls and the case becomes harder to move forward.

For 30 years, Feinberg Consulting has partnered with attorneys and referral sources on medically complex auto no-fault, workers’ compensation, and catastrophic injury cases. Our Certified Case Managers stay actively involved in the client’s care and keep every stakeholder informed with timely, accurate information.

What You Can Expect From Our Team

Proactive Communication

We share meaningful developments as they happen, not only when asked.

Clear Documentation

Detailed initial assessments and ongoing progress reports that explain where recovery stands, what is needed, and why.

Consistent Follow-Through

We don’t make a referral and step back. Our case managers attend appointments, track recommendations, and make sure the care plan is carried out.

Clinical Insight

Case managers with nursing, social work, rehabilitation, and vocational evaluation backgrounds who understand the medical picture and its implications.

Coordination Across the Case

One point of contact connecting providers, families, claims professionals, and counsel.

Advocacy Without Conflict

Our advocacy stays focused on the client’s clinical needs and recovery goals. We work constructively with every party involved in the case.

Deep Michigan Auto No-Fault Knowledge

Michigan auto no-fault cases require case managers who understand the system in detail. Our team has decades of experience with no-fault benefits, documentation requirements, and benefit criteria, including attendant care, durable medical equipment, home and vehicle modifications, transportation, and long-term rehabilitation.

Much of our current caseload involves legacy unlimited PIP claims, and we also support newer claims under the coverage levels introduced by Michigan’s 2019 no-fault reform. We understand how coverage level affects available care and will coordinate within each policy’s parameters.

When to Bring In Case Management

Case management is most valuable when recovery involves:

Traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, polytrauma, or complex orthopedic injuries
Multiple providers who aren’t communicating
Complex rehabilitation or a difficult transition between care settings
Recovery that has stalled or become fragmented
An overwhelmed family
Equipment, transportation, attendant care, or home modification needs
Cognitive or behavioral barriers to following the care plan
A need for ongoing clinical oversight and documentation

Earlier involvement typically produces the most benefit, but we also support cases months or years after the injury.
