We unfortunately continue to see that Mental health and substance use issues do not discriminate. It is tragic that someone as talented and successful as Matthew Perry struggled so significantly. We’ll never know what really happened other than we lost someone who made us laugh and we feel sad. His remarkable talent as an actor and the humor he infused into the character of Chandler Bing made an indelible mark. Those who possess the ability to make us laugh contribute immensely to society. What ultimately took Matthew’s life is not completely clear however, it does seem the Ketamine was being used beyond what was therapeutic.
