I believe that it is never too late to change. The only constant in life is change, and although we don't always have control over events, we can strive to respond in a healthy way and grow as a result, with the help of others.
A desire to help those struggling with substance use and mental health inspired me to start in this career field. Watching people go from a place of despair and hopelessness to a place of healing and strength serves as a constant reminder of the resiliency of the human spirit. I enjoy experiencing and facilitating meaningful connections between people who have shared similar experiences.
I have spent the last 19 years working in the field of Human Services, specifically in the areas of substance use disorders, process addictions, and mental health. I earned my AA degree from Palm Beach State and my CRRA certification through the Florida Certification Board.
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son at sporting events, whether watching my son play baseball or flag football, or attending a professional game. I also enjoy lazing around with my dog, Dexter, and baking sweet treats.
