Making changes in one’s life is challenging, frustrating, and overwhelming. At times, individuals try their best to avoid the shift; I choose to love them anyway.

I have been in recovery for the past twenty years, but it was the ladies who supported me during those early days and months who initiated my desire to help others who struggle. They believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. I am inspired to be that person for others.

When I began in this field, I had years of opportunity to attend and complete ongoing training in all aspects of addiction and mental health. I then chose to obtain my bachelor’s in human services so I could better serve this population.

In my personal life, I am blessed to travel, camp, and spend time on the water with my husband, family, and, of course, our doodle.
