A Story of Hope on the Path to Recovery

When a loved one is struggling with a serious mental health condition or a substance use disorder resulting in addiction, it’s challenging to determine how to seek help for them. At Feinberg Consulting, we have experienced these stressful situations firsthand, and we know how devastating and upsetting they can be for the entire family. Our goal is to eliminate the anxiety and anguish experienced when facing these situations alone.

How can Feinberg Consulting help you and your loved ones?

From performing interventions and providing treatment recommendations, to our case management and coaching services, our multidisciplinary team of licensed professionals is here to help individuals and families navigate the path to lifelong recovery. We offer compassionate guidance and support and understand the importance of finding the right treatment options and medical providers.

Recently, we received the below letter from the dad of one of our clients. We believe that this letter exemplifies the genuine care we have for the recovery and well-being of each and every one of our clients and their families.

Dear Feinberg Team,

We hope this email finds all of you well and that you and your families are healthy and safe. We wanted to express our gratitude to all of you for helping us as a family this year, and for helping our son.

Our son has done good work this year and has managed to be sober for 8 months. After his intervention, he went to a residential treatment program in Florida. From there, he spent the next five months in a residential, community-based, sober living environment in Illinois. We visited him a few times, and we were even able to attend a football game. Our son held a job while there, had a sponsor, and attended meetings.

Once he left, he returned home just before the holidays. Before he came home, he made contact with a potential sponsor here, and they plan to meet after the holiday. He also made contact with a recovery coach, will continue to attend meetings, and will stay in touch with his therapist. Additionally, he has an upcoming job interview and is enrolled in classes to continue his education starting this January.

This all began with a phone call to Thatcher Shivley at Feinberg Consulting. From there, calls with Steve, Amy, and Barrett, and setting up travel arrangements with Scott Snyder. We are appreciative for the follow-up from Amy, Kristen, and Barrett. At the time, we did not realize we were about to embark on an eight month journey. By no means does this email suggest that our son is finished with his recovery journey and does not need to continue to put in the work. He knows that he does. Our son will work to keep his recovery as a priority.

We are thankful for all of you and appreciate the guidance you have given us. Our son would not be where he is today without you and the treatment providers you helped us find. We have hope for his future that we did not have a year ago. He is a great son and we are very proud of him.

We are so grateful for all of you. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you.

Thank you sincerely.
